Institute Updates- Expert Lecture on Blockchain technology for 4th, 6th & 8th semester Computer Engineering & Information technology Department students on 20th March, 2021

The Computer Engineering & Information technology Department organized an online webinar on 'Blockchain Technology' for the students of 4th, 6th and 8th semester CE-IT on 20th March, 2021 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.

The aim of organizing the webinar was to make our students aware about the present demand of securing confidential records in any domain.  A blockchain is an anonymous online ledger that uses a data structure to simplify the way we transact and it allows users to manipulate the ledger in a secure way without the use of a third party and also protects the identities of the users. More than 40 students along with 10 faculty members have attended this webinar voluntarily.

The webinar was delivered by Shri Pankaj Gupta sir. Shri Pankaj Gupta is a Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, GIFT, Gandhinagar Since Nov 2013. He has been responsible for developing GIFT city as an IT services hub in FINTECH and e-governance space. He has over 25 areas of diversified experience in the IT industry. He talked about the blockchain, its application, advantages, and hyperledger fabric platform. The session was very much interesting and full of knowledge. We are very much pleased to have an expert like Shree Pankaj Gupta sir.
